Echo International Receives Prestigious President's E-Award

The President's “E” Award for Export Service is presented to organizations that export their products or services, or that assist or facilitate export activities. The primary criterion for the President’s “E” Award for Export Service is at least four years of broad, measurable, innovative, and sustainable contributions to export expansion.

Congratulations to Echo International. Exports are critical to our nation's competitiveness in the global marketplace and they solidify our country's economic leadership across the globe.

Accepting the award on behalf of the company is Mr. Les Dutka, Echo’s founder and CEO, in a ceremony held in Washington, DC on May 18, 2015. For more than 30 years, Echo International has served the regional, national and world economies by providing specialized and unique translation, interpretation and linguistic services to its clients in support of exported goods and services. Mr. Dutka and Echo International have played significant and active roles in positively impacting regional and national exporting companies, and in public and private educational events promoting export activities.

Mr. Dutka is one of the longest serving members of the Western PA District Export Council (DEC), and strongly supports the efforts of the U.S. Commercial Service (CS) with donations of his time and company resources. On Friday, June 5, 2015, Echo International received Congressional citations from both Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Doyle and Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey for the company’s outstanding achievement in receiving the President’s “E” Award.

      April 11-12, 2013—Hosted by the Pittsburgh Technology Council, this year’s Made in PA Expo attracted nearly 150 exhibitors and over 150 registered visitors. The MADE in PA EXPO is a two-day supplier forum and trade show highlighting the capabilities of manufacturing firms in Pennsylvania. The EXPO provided attending manufacturing firms “how to do business” seminars with large regional and national OEMs, as well as an opportunity for visibility and networking with other Pennsylvania firms.       Echo International Participates in GALA Conference and Expo in Miami, Florida March 17-20, 2013

      Representatives from Echo International attended the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) annual conference, this year held in Miami,Florida. It was 4 brilliant days jam-packed with industry-specific workshops led by experts in translation and localization.  Key themes for this year were: machine translation, post-editing solutions, quality control metrics, business opportunities in Africa, and translation memory and management systems to name a few. There were also several product demos from Plunet, SYSTRAN, Déjà vu, Lucy, iDISC, XTRF, and XTM Cloud among several others. The days were mixed with informative sessions, Agile conferencing, and networking opportunities.  We learned a lot and made many great connections.
